The IS 350 F Sport is a rare thing today: a compact sports saloon with a big, naturally aspirated V6 and rear-wheel drive. Lexus did not offer it in most of Europe, where the IS was sold mainly as a hybrid, so Japan is the place to find one. Built for Japan, it is already right-hand drive.

What to look for
- IS 300, 300h, 350 or 500. In Japan the IS comes with a 2.0-litre turbo, a hybrid, the 3.5 V6 or a 5.0 V8 in the IS 500. The IS 350 is the sweet spot of performance, sound and price.
- Equipment. Look for options such as the sunroof, Mark Levinson audio and red or white leather. Specification varies, so we confirm the full options list before you order.
- Modifications and history. Many Japanese cars carry tasteful aftermarket parts. We check exactly what has been changed, and look for a complete service record.
- Japanese-market details. Navigation and some menus are in Japanese, and the FM radio uses a different frequency band. Ask us what can be switched or converted before you order.
